Edward Lear

'How pleasant to know Mr Lear !'
Who has written such volumes of stuff !
Some think him ill-tempered and queer
But a few think him pleasant enough.

Calling next year's authors

Each year we invite a selection of nationally-known authors to bring their new books to authors' corner. While our primary concern is to raise as much money as possible for the charities we support, we try to make sure that we have a good range of books which will offer something to all comers.

Past authors have included Sir Roger Bannister, Jeremy Clarkson, Douglas Hurd and Chris Patten.

If you are a well-known author and are publishing a book in 2008, please get in touch with the stallholders as soon as possible. The stallholders will be finalising the authors list for next year's Dragon Charity Sale by the end of May.
