Footballs
(The photo shows the 2007 balls.)
Specially ordered Dragon footballs made for the Dragon Christmas Charity Sale by Alive & Kicking Kenya, sizes 4 (blue and yellow) and 5 (blue and white). Also, some mini dragon footballs in blue and yellow.
Alive and Kicking is a UK-registered charity that makes balls from strong African leather. They're properly stitched and finished, so they're hard to puncture and easy to repair. This provides work and income for African people in the Alive & Kicking workshops; it provides a market for African leather; and it makes children happy, by giving them something to play with. But that's not all. Helping them stay alive is even better. Each ball made for the children the charity supports carries a message about HIV/AIDS and malaria, these are two major killers that African children are at risk from.
1,000 of these balls were used as the "official" ball of the Homeless World Cup in South Africa in 2006.
