The beautiful and remote Colonsay Hotel lies on the Isle of Colonsay, in
the Inner Hebrides, where there are endless sandy beaches and stunning unspoilt
landscape. The hotel has retained its many original features offering a
wonderfully relaxed charm. There are huge open fires in the log room, library,
restaurant and bar. The restaurant offers fresh, local produce, including
superb seafood. The island offers, fishing, cycling, golf and there is plenty

An evening with QI
Experience all the excitement of attending one of the recordings of the next
series of the highly successful comedy panel show, QI, likely to be
recorded in May or June 2009. The guest list for each recording is not yet
available (you will be able to choose which recording you wish to attend) but,
to give you a flavour of the exciting guests in the new series going out on BBC
1 in January on Friday nights, they include Jo Brand, Clive Anderson, Rob
Brydon, Ben Miller, Emma Thompson and Hugh Dennis - as well as regular
panellist Alan Davies and, of course, hosted by Stephen Fry.
The lot includes four tickets to the London Studios and dinner at a nearby restaurant. You will be chauffeur driven from Oxford to London and back for this star-studded evening. So you will not forget this fun evening, you will also get a QI goodie bag with books and DVDs.
If you are coming from London, you can use the car on another occasion, maybe to transport your children home in style from school for an exeat or half term!

The Ultimate Boys' (and Girls') Challenge
Think you are tough, think you are gritty? Find out, when you and your team
take up the ultimate endurance test at the Royal Marines Commando Challenge on
10th and 11th October, 2009.
This is your once in a lifetime chance to complete the World famous Royal Marines Endurance Course in Devon. The course forms one of the formidable "Commando Tests" that recruits and Officers from the nearby Commando Training Centre Royal Marines have to complete, carrying full kit, in order to win their Green Beret. You won't be carrying kit and a rifle... but it will still be hard enough!
You and your team run across Woodbury Common in Devon, through tunnels filled with water, across muddy pools and slide down hills!
The numbers for this event are capped and last year over 3,000 applications were turned down for this challenge. We have been offered a place for one team for a minimum of three people with no maximum. Minimum age 16.
If your idea of heaven is being outside, neck deep in muddy water... take up the challenge.

Horrid Henry Dragon Promise

character in CITV's super successful television series, Horrid Henry,

Garden design without tears
Let the Chelsea Show's 2007 Silver Award Winner, Angus Thompson, save
you some time and design your garden for you. The renowned designer
responsible for garden designs across the UK ranging in style from a
sophisticated town house in Holborn, London to the wildflower meadows and
orchards of a five-acre Georgian house in Yorkshire, will recreate your own
personal kingdom! Angus will discuss ideas in an initial site visit, then give
a site appraisal, and a subsequent presentation including the Master Plan,
Visuals and Section. Designs can be created hand in hand with architects and
interior designers, notably Manser and Clare Williams. Angus will be showing
at Chelsea again in 2009 and so this lot has to be taken by 15th February, 2009
due to his commitments. There is a reserve on this lot of £1,500.

Clay pigeon shoot
A shoot for six people (30 clays per person) at the historic Cornbury Park
estate near Charlbury. Mr Jim Brennan, a very experienced game keeper and deer
stalker, for Lord and Lady Rotherwick, will organise the shoot. Time and date
to be arranged by mutual agreement. Participants must bring their own guns and
gun certificates.
